U.S. and Mexico Delegations Meet

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano led a delegation that met in Mexico City with a delegation headed by Mexican Secretary of the Interior Miguel Angel Osorio Chong. The meeting, designed to underscore the ongoing partnership and cooperation between the two countries along its shared border, focused on the issues of migration, border security and the trusted traveler program. Both Secretary Napolitano and Secretary Osorio Chong reiterated that a strong bi-national relationship is key to ensuring the region’s security, facilitating legitimate trade and travel, enhancing information sharing, and continuing efforts to ensure a safer, secure and resilient global supply chain.
