The fifth online dialogue on the post-2015 framework for disaster risk reduction will open on Monday 3 December 2012. This round aims to enhance the understanding of stakeholders on the linkages between disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development. The goal is to strengthen the integration of both disaster risk reduction and adaptation into development planning and practices.
The three questions for discussion will be:
1. Is there evidence of a change in the severity and frequency of extreme weather and climate events in your region? Has this led to changes in behavior?
2. What progress has been made in linking disaster risk reduction with climate change adaption in policy, institutional dialogue, and partnership and programming?
3. What are the experiences in your country on mainstreaming disaster risk reduction into development planning and sectors? What are the lessons learned?
All you need to do is sign up by Monday 3 December.
