On May 16, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano delivered the commencement address at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy for the 2012 graduating class. “Cadets, we live in a world of evolving threats and unconventional enemies; a world where the battlefield often has no boundaries or uniforms. You will don many hats as you leave this Academy, because it means a lot to be a member of the Coast Guard – you are rescuers, protectors, first responders, law enforcers, teachers, public servants. You graduate in a 21^st Century anchored in neither the Cold War nor the conventional rules of warfare.
