On February 6th, 2012, the Home Affairs Committee of the British House of Commons, released its report "The Roots of Violent Radicalisation (PDF, 31 Pages, 364 KB)." Key among the findings are the increasing role of the Internet, the emergence of "lone wolf" terrorists and the potential threat from far-right extremists.

On June 7, 2011, the British government released its Prevent Strategy (PDF, 116 Pages, 697KB). The strategy contains three objectives: to respond to the ideological challenge of terrorism and the threat from those who promote it; to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism and ensure that they are given appropriate advice and support; and to work with sectors and institutions where there are risks of radicalisation that we need to address.
