Anti-Terrorism Technology -- Acting Governor Donald T. DiFrancesco
today announced that the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology
Springboard Fund Technology Investment Program will provide interest-free
loans of up to $250,000 to small businesses in New Jersey to develop
and market technology-based anti-terrorism and public safety products.

October 2001 - Acting Governor DiFrancesco Asks National Guard
to Complement Security Efforts at P.A. Facilities -- Acting Governor
Donald T. DiFrancesco announced today that he has authorized the
deployment of additional National Guardsmen to complement law enforcement
agencies providing enhanced security at Port Authority bridges,
tunnels, seaports and the PATH system. The National Guard will work
with local police, State Police and Port Authority Police at Port
Authority facilities that have been on heightened alert since Sept.

Serve as Interim Head of Domestic Security Task Force -- Acting
Governor Donald T. DiFrancesco today announced that state Attorney
General John Farmer, Jr. will serve as interim chairman of the New
Jersey Domestic Security Preparedness Task Force.

October 2001 - DiFrancesco Announces Domestic Security Task
Force and Anti-Terrorism Measures During Address to Joint Session
of the Legislature Expresses Thanks to NJ Heroes and Supports Measures
for Victims and Their Families -- Governor Jeb Bush today participated
in the first meeting of the Domestic Security Advisory Panel. It
was held at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement headquarters.
The eleven-member panel was created by Governor Bush to provide
recommendations and evaluate the implementation of improvements
