Guard Troops to Enhance Airport Security During the Holiday Season.
Gov. Don Siegelman and Brig. Gen. Mike Sumrall, adjutant general
of Alabama, announced today that more Alabama National Guard personnel
would be activated tomorrow to augment security operations at six
commercial airports in the state. The personnel will be assigned

1 - Siegelman Discusses Alabamas Homeland Security Plan
Appoints Sumrall as Acting Director for Alabama Homeland Security.
Gov. Don Siegelman today announced that the states homeland
security and anti-terrorism action plan has been thoroughly revised
and updated. He also appointed Gen. Michael H. Sumrall as the acting
director of homeland security for Alabama.
