9 - Siegelman and Sumrall Announce Activation of Alabama National
Guard Troops to Enhance Airport Security During the Holiday Season.
Gov. Don Siegelman and Brig. Gen. Mike Sumrall, adjutant general
of Alabama, announced today that more Alabama National Guard personnel
would be activated tomorrow to augment security operations at six
commercial airports in the state. The personnel will be assigned
to airport security at least through the New Year. [
